Anthony Dissen, MPH, MA, RDN, CPH has been a life-long student of nutrition, health, and wellness promotion.  The entire course of his life changed when he discovered plant-based nutrition and Classical Chinese Medicine as a teenager, leading to a powerful improvement of his health and a new outlook on life and profession. This incredible experience lead him to the formal study of Classical Chinese Medicine, Plant-Based Nutrition, Public Health, Chinese Dietary Therapy, Medical Qigong, Macrobiotics, Yoga, and Lifestyle Medicine. Anthony now works as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and Health Educator, focusing in plant-based nutrition and public health education, at the University and Community Health levels. 

 

Anthony holds a Masters of Arts in Holistic Health Studies from Georgian Court University and a certificate in Plant Based Nutrition from eCornell. Anthony also completed his Master of Public Health (MPH) degree from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst with an emphasis in Public Health Nutrition, and is Certified in Public Health (CPH) through the National Board of Public Health Examiners. Anthony is currently a doctoral student in the EdD in Organizational Leadership program at Stockton University with a focus in the health humanities and their role in undergraduate education, specifically for those students studying to enter the healthcare field. 


Anthony currently works as an Instructor of Health Sciences at Stockton University in the School of Health Sciences, and has been an adjunct instructor at Georgian Court University and Rutgers University. Anthony has worked as an Integrative Health Educator and Dietitian at CentraState Medical Center, and as the Outpatient & Community Education Dietitian at University Medical Center of Princeton. Additionally, Anthony had the great joy to work at WellStart Health as their VP of Nutrition from 2018-2020, and has worked and volunteered for a number of non-profit organizations such as the Breast Cancer Resource Center of New Jersey, David's Dream & Believe Cancer Foundation, and Gilda's Club of South Jersey.
